Marquette University has a dedicated lab for power and energy research. The lab has a four 4/0 gauge wires fed directly from the building main transformer. The feed into the lab. is rated at 480 V RMS line-line and each phase is rated at 225 A RMS. The total power rating of the lab is 187 kVA. Marquette university has made significant investments into infrastructure and equipment for research in power and energy. The laboratory holds state of the art equipment such as Digital oscilloscopes, HV Differential probes, HF Regowski coils, soldering stations, DC power supplies and HIL simulations systems from major manufacturers namely Tektorinx, Weller, X-Tronic, Magna and Typhoon etc.
